02/01/2011: Cabot takes on EPA; ExxonMobil goes dry in Poland
- Cabot Oil and Gas continued to criticize EPA data on drinking water in Dimock, Pa., saying the federal agency cherry-picked data when determining whether drilling operations had contaminated water supplies. (The Philadelphia Inquirer)
- Pennsylvania has lost more than $300 million since 2009 because it hasn't enacted a tax or fee on gas extraction in the state, according to the Pennsylvania Budget and Policy Center. (Central Penn Business Journal)
- Meanwhile, ExxonMobil has some failed gas wells in Poland, and it's starting to raise questions about the country's ability to wean itself off Russia's monopoly on energy. (Bloomberg News)
