3/22/2012: S. Fayette joins shale lawsuit; Shell lands Chinese shale deal.
- South Fayette commissioners voted 5-0 last night to participate in a multi-municipal lawsuit against the state's Marcellus Shale law. Peters, Robinson, Mount Pleasant and Cecil townships in Washington County also are part of the suit. (Post-Gazette)
- At Pittsburgh conference yesterday, industry experts polished their crystal balls and said the effects of Marcellus Shale developments will trickle down to the everyday consumer in the form of cars powered by natural gas. (Post-Gazette)
- And looking abroad, Shell Oil Co. has another big announcement after last week's cracker location decision. The company has inked the first shale gas deal in China, partnering with China National Petroleum Corp. to begin gas exploration there. (Reuters)
