Pipeline wins Digital Innovation prize from business journalism group
Pipeline has won a Digital Innovation Award from the Society of American Business Editors and Writers, a pretigious prize from an organization that honors the most impressive business journalism from the past year.
The Post-Gazette's shale news site is the inaugural winner of the Digital Innovation Award, which was added to SABEW's Best in Business contest this year to honor "stories, projects, [and] initiatives that exemplify creativity and originality." Pipeline won SABEW's "Best Blog" award last year.
The organization names three winners in each category, and the other recipients of the Digital Innovation prize are USA Today for its "Ghost Factories" investigation into smelting pollution and the Financial Times for its coverage of the LIBOR scandal.
